We are excited to welcome you to our Open House and Meet Your Teacher events on Wednesday, August 6th. Parents and students are invited to tour the campus and visit classrooms, meet teachers, pick up supply kits, and purchase team spirit merchandise. 

Please review all the important details below related to the Open House and Meet Your Teacher experience.
 

TIMING:
The timing for each team’s Open House is below. Please plan for your visit to last no longer than 30 minutes and exit the building immediately by the conclusion of your team session.

• 9:00 - 9:45 Lions and Pumas
• 9:45 - 10:30 Cosmic Cats and Panthers
• 10:30 -11:15 Leopards and Tigers
   

WHERE TO BEGIN:
 If you attended Camp Drake, you may proceed straight to your child’s homeroom class. You should begin in your child’s homeroom class with the completion of necessary documents.

If you did NOT attend Camp Drake, please begin at the check-in table in the lobby, where you will receive your information packet and your child’s homeroom teacher’s name. Then proceed to your child’s homeroom class for completion of important back-to-school documents.
 

WHAT TO DO IN TEAM AREAS:
 1. Begin by visiting your child’s homeroom class. 
 
 2. Find your child’s desk and complete the paperwork on the desk and the yellow transportation card. Leave these sheets on their desk. 
 
 3. Find the take-home papers and your child’s car line tag and take them home with you.
 
 4. If you purchased/received a team lanyard at Camp Drake, please bring it with you and attach it to your child’s ID and leave it on their desk. Please do not take the ID/lanyard home.
 
 5. Team teachers will be standing in the hallway for a brief meet-and-greet opportunity.
 

WHAT TO DO IN THE CAFETERIA:
 1. Visit the T-Shirt Table to purchase team t-shirts if you still need one. Please bring $12 cash to purchase. Cash and carry shirts are only available in cotton and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
 2. Pick up any pre-ordered supply kits and pre-purchased swag bags.
 
 3. Visit the team merchandise table to purchase a team lanyard ($8), water bottle ($5), drawstring bag ($5), or DMS car magnet ($5).
 
 4. Visit the bus help station if you need assistance finding your child’s bus route. We will do our best to answer transportation questions.
 

MEDICATION DROP OFF:
On Wednesday, August 6th, medication may be dropped off with our school nurse between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Remember to bring your parent provider Authorization Form signed by your physician. You may email Nurse Suzanne at eslufkin@auburnschools.org to secure an appointment and reduce potential wait times.
 

TRAFFIC AND PARKING:
Please enter the front driveway loop from North Donahue Drive and enter and exit the building from the N. Donahue main entrance ONLY.  All other entrances will be locked.

Please park in the front parking lot, side parking lots, gym parking lot, or along the right side of the front loop or back car loop.
